Letter from the Principal

Dear Parents,
Welcome to the Belleview Elementary School website! Please take some time to review information about our school. We are proud of our school and community of learners, and are committed to our District's mission:

To inspire every child to think, to learn, to achieve, and to care.

Belleview Elementary School is a K-5 building focused on student achievement, building positive character, and preparing our children for a future world. The school values traditional, yet rigorous approaches in education, high expectations, and exemplary instructional strategies that bend to student needs. We cherish the importance of home-school partnerships and are committed to the hearts and minds of every child, every day.

Belleview's dedicated staff is a cohesive, productive faculty whose top priority is the development of the whole child. Annual events include a school wide Shakespeare event, Art Show, various musical performances, Field Day, and an intermediate grade ballroom dancing competition, to name a few. We are proud to share we are a John Irwin School of Excellence!

Parental involvement is at the heart of student success at Belleview. We are extremely fortunate to have an abundance of parent volunteers who enrich our school with their time, heart, and talent. The highly supportive Parent Teacher Community Organization (P.T.C.O.) is an integral part of the school environment at Belleview. Our PTCO is active and successful in hosting schoolwide events for our students and in raising funds for the school in partnership with district technology resources. In fact, over the last few years the PTCO emphasized technology integration and provided both state of the art document cameras in each classroom as well as printer stations. In our dedication to 21st century learning, we will continue to maximize our efforts in this area by integrating Smartboards into the classroom environment.

We are so glad you are part of the Belleview family. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you should have any questions, comments, or concerns. " Unity is strength. Where there is teamwork, wonderful things can be achieved." I look forward to partnering with you in your children's success.

Respectfully,

Amanda Waleski
